Duh, that's what hybrids do. Can't believe they actually use that in advertising.

The funniest part about the self charging part is it's old tech, and vastly inferior to plug in hybrids.
Under European regs, that self charging mode has to be restricted or they take a huge hit on official emissions and mileage as that’s a big assumption of how the cars will be used.
