Proctor & Gamble are trying to brush it off as a result of more men wearing beards. However it is clear that the backlash to Gillette's commercial this year making men feel guilty for being men had a big impact. Other manufacturers of shaving products have not seen similar falls in revenue in 2019.
I was a user of Gillette razors for 30+ years but no more. It is now Schick for me.
