That depends on whether it's series 1 or 2. EA1 had the 3 speed auto. EAII had the 4 speed. Manual was certainly an option on the EA Ghias, but they are quite hard to find. The manual makes a massive difference to performance, since my EA started off as a 4 speed before getting converted to a 5 speed, and the improvement was huge.
