The Puma is currently only built in Romania, which would seem like a cheaper location to build cars, but then it's the logistics from Eastern Europe to Australia. And if you believe Hyundai and Kia in Australia, it doesn't make sense to import cars from that part of the world. And would a FTA with Europe make any difference?
Wouldn't it be great if Ford opened up a manufacturing plant in Australia that made a wide variety of vehicles for our part of the world. Many models are now built on common platforms so the range is there.
