Rather than taking that path, if you do receive a fine and you haven’t had 1 for a few years prior, you can always try the letter approach to whoever issued the fine, saying you weren’t paying attention and it was a genuine mistake for the speed you were doing, would they consider a warning instead? There will be info on the fine regarding how to go about it.
My wife and mother have both gotten out of fines that way
