Iphone and FG Falcon issues.

If this has been dealt with before my apologies
but,
what can be done if you have an Iphone 4.0 which when plugged into the Ipod connector of an '08 FG Falcon will give 'Ipod not supported' message?
It will still play songs and the phone can be paired to the blue tooth system.
Any help appreciated....
