I don't think it matters who orders stock if the factory in china that manufacturers it has shut down due to the virus. It's hard to "requisition" something that doesn't exist. Then, when production starts up again priority will go to the biggest customers and, in a worldwide market, Australia is a small player.
This is why we are now talking about bringing manufacturing back to Aus. But I don't think people are ready for the price rises that will result.
