The reboot was fine.
I'm going to kick off the initial backup shortly as it might take a while to run.
I'm expecting that there will be an impact on sever performance during the backup but it's very much a case of 'suck it and see' as there isn't really any way of knowing in advance.
If it sucks up too much of the server resources, I'll stop the task.
