so PowerShift is standard then across the range reports was that it was a cost option on the diesel models hmm I think because of the Turbocharge petrol engine missing from the line up Ford tossed in the PowerShift?

I appreciate your post is a month old now, so I'm sure you've pick this up already, but the above is not actually correct.
The powershift is standard on the diesel models. So if you select the
optional diesel engine, the Powershift comes standard.
Alternatively, it's an option on the petrol LX, Zetec or Titanium hatch, and the LX and Zetec petrol wagons.
