If petrol was replacing diesel in dual cab utes then why has Toyota dropped their petrol V6 in Hilux due to poor sales? Totally different scenario to passenger vehicles, where diesels have dropped off significantly.
I’d recon that a fair portion of Rangers and Everests would be used like sedans and station wagons,
so maybe more than a few owners would be open to hybrid or even PHEV in the near future

Rumour is that Ford is developing 2.3 EB Powerboost PHEV for Mustang and maybe Bronco.
If any of that is true than perhaps we can have our cake and eat it too..l

I’m also thinking 3.0 EB hybrid in Explorer / Aviator with 550 hp and near 600 lb ft of torque..
