I forgot to mention:
You can see PIDS and DCTs in the GEM with Forscan.
You need an OBD adapter which supports HS and MS CAN, such as the OBDLink MX bluetooth and Forscan app on the phone, or a laptop.
That might at least show if any GEM modules are upset.
The GEM shows as BCMii in Forscan.
