Yes; but more carefully than you though it seems. Gasket Paint is not gasket goo or a silicon sealant (it is applied in an extremely thin layer) and as that page says:

. We recommend a light coat of anaerobic sealer designed for the purpose Copper Coat (SCE p/n G1612) or Aero-Grade Hylomar. These sealants remain pliable rather than curing so it will ‘flow’ out of where it’s not needed and stay where it needs to be

And the pictured pros are using copper gaskets like most race engine builders mainly because they can be reused after every engine tear down.
In any event, you have to take what a gasket manufacturer says about their products with a pinch of salt as they are about promoting their products not be objective. And SCE products appear aimed at older engines that do not use TTY fasteners (they recommend re-torqueing something you don't do with TTY fasteners).
I gather you've replaced just one head gasket and I don't think it has been on your car long enough yet to call it. I doubt it will last much more than 3 or 4 years. I have replaced many on Ford 6's (using composite one before the AU MLS ones became available) and I am convinced from that experience the MLS ones outlast the composite graphite ones (in fact I haven't had a MLS one fail yet).
