Twinpiston: It's just a steering wheel cover I got at Supercheap. The metal trim piece is a bit of aluminium sheet I cut to shape and bent over a wooden former (took all of 15 mins to do).
Have you thought of seat covers? I've had mine for nearly 4 years now and they're only now starting to show wear and tear. Good ones cost about $50-70 a set. If you decide to go this route, make sure you get the type with separate headrests.
