i say do what ever you want regardless, especially if you have the spare parts laying around.if bolting on a carbie gets you on the road in a few hours rather than waiting for efi parts,tune,funds etc. have a blast, run your motor in use it as a short term soloution fix the efi and compare the difference.
a carbied au would still beat catching the bus or worse still driving a commodore
